The Institute of Management Studies (IMS) Society
formed under the aegis of the UNISON Group is a non-profit making Educational
Society. Established in the Year 1996, the Society is a brainchild of Industry
leaders and academicians and has been delivering excellence in the field of
professional education since almost a decade now.
With close to 2200 students today IMS, Dehradun
commands a reputation of being the
oldest & the largest Institute of the State. Situated in the
foothills of the Himalayas at its sprawling campus at Makkawala Greens, IMS

The UNISON Group is a cluster of premier institutions that foster excellence in

Dehradun is the capital of
Indian state of
Uttarakhand, and has rich and
eventful history which is widely recognized as an
outstanding location to live and to study. It combines all the advantages of a
compact, friendly and inexpensive location with the cultural and recreational
facilities of a modern capital. Dehradun caters for all tastes, offering
everything from the excitement of the city to the peace and tranquility of the
nearby mountains and countryside. Such is the quality of the ‘Dehra
experience’, that in a recent survey, a large majority of students said they
would like to stay and live in the city after graduating from IMS.

Dehradun has a distinctive character, a good quality of life and a growing
national and international reputation. As the capital city of Uttarakhand it is
home to many national institutions and it aspires to become the IT capital of
the North. The landmark buildings range from the colonial FRI to the
magnificent Darbar Saheb. It is truly a wonderful place to be in. It has
friendly and helpful people, an abundance of recreational opportunities (how
does white water rafting sound to you?) and lots of places to see and visit.
The city has a temperate climate (with temperatures ranging from 7oc
to 32 oc), is 240 km north east of Delhi, 2300 ft. above sea level
and is well connected by rail, road and air.
