Seminar Hall that is used for student meets, guest lectures and screening of films on week-ends. The students choose and decide what films they would like to be screened, in consultation with the hostel warden.
Also on campus is a Conference room / Board room that provides top-of-the-line facilities for board meetings, student-faculty meetings and a host of other occasions.

B.F.Skinner established a relationship between the physical environment and productivity, and IMS has adapted it in practice. Though designed as a centrally air-conditioned building, the natural air-conditioning has so far held us back from implementing the same.

IMS has been very conscious of student amenities. Water coolers on every floor with filtered drinking water, spacious and separate toilets for boys and girls on every floor, racks for keeping your belongings outside the computer laboratories, library and Mass Communication Studio, spacious corridors and lay-out areas are just some of the considerations that IMS academic complex can boast of. The complex,though only four storeys high, has been fitted with a lift for those who may need it.

Our theatre styled class room with sitting capacity of 60 students at a time,are fitted with Audio-Visual aids and are Net-wired for live presentations.The students are encouraged to make AV based presentations.Our class-rooms give the students the semblance of a corporate office, for that what is we groom them for.

We state with confidence and pride that the panoramic view of the green Himalayas range visible from the library,computer lab and the studio is unparalleled and rare, perhaps the best in the state.

The completely e-nabled library has an automated interface that allows the students and researchers to locate and access information and reference material via a computerized search facility. IMS Library is operational for more than 14 hours a day and is planning to offer round-the-clock services very soon.

It is well stocked with a wide range of books, journals, newspapers, statistics,project work assignments and periodicals.

There are over 24,000 titles encompassing rich references inmanagement, marketing, international
business, information technology,communications, strategic marketing,advertising and many more.

The completely automated domain of the library is complimented with ERP/Libsys 4.0 (Library management software solution) along with plug-in inspectors developed and conceived at IMS.

Books and material are issued only on swiping the smart cards which are issued to every student. These smart cards make use of the latest bar-code technology.

The Smart cards also help us to order more copies of the material in greaterdemand.

We are slowly moving towards a completely digital world of books and journals that can be accessed from any authorised computer in the campus or outside.

Be a sport’ is the philosophy that IMS firmly believes in. None would deny the importance of games and sports, not only as an integral part of physical and mental development, but also as an important
attitude building exercise. We encourage our students to study and play, and balancetheir time amongst the two.
IMS has created an excellent infrastructure for sporting activities. A cemented basket-If you’re looking for a good college life,along with a considerable vocational content, then IMS is where you ought to
be!
The students at IMS get ample opportunities to hone and show off their talents. And if you are not exactly leaning ball court, badminton courts in each of the boys and girls hostels. Table tennis tables
in the hostel, volleyball court and a cricket ground. Students are encouraged to play both outdoor and indoor games after their
classes and on weekends.
To instill a spirit unto them, intra-institute tournaments are held. The year long activity culminates in an Annual Sports Meet that brings out the hidden talents and towards any particular hobby, IMS offers
the chance-of-a-lifetime to every student to develop a vocation.
Saturday nights are movie nights.The girls get to see one of their choice in the Seminar Hall - complete with surround sound and high definition large format video. While the boys get to see the movie of their choice in their own hostel.

We believe in providing extensive global exposure and linkages to our students and faculty through the Internet, enabling them to be abreast of all the current trends. A dedicated leased line connection of 2 Mbps from RELIANCE has been installed to offer high speed 24x7 internet access on all the machines in the campus.

Forthcoming plans include VSAT based networking of all the Institute’s running under IMS Society and an Earth Station in the campus, connecting over 5000 computers simultaneously. The VSAT provides an ‘always on’ Internet Connection for instant high speed access. An state-of-the-art WiFi system running on a wireless network (wireless LAN) allow participants to access internet as well as intranet sites from their WiFi enabled computers.

For regular as well as emergency medical attention, the campus houses an infirmary with an M.D. doctor who is present in the day time and on call for emergencies. The infirmary also has a trained resident nurse. The Infirmary is equipped to handle most of the minor ailments and also provide critical first-aid for other major ailments.

The Infirmary also functions as a health center, and maintains detailed medical records of all residents on campus. These details prove extremely useful at times of medical attention or emergency.

An Ambulance is on a 24-hour stand-by to rush any one in need of medical attention to a hospital.

IMS offers separate hostels for boys and girls. The girls hostel has been designed with two primary objectives -safety and comfort. It has round the clock security, with stringent security procedures and comfortable american style apartments that girls enjoy living in. The girls and boys hostels have separate dining halls, catered by separate kitchens. This enables us to cater to different nutrition requirements of boys and girls. The meals in both the dining halls are served with love, care and attention to minute details. Both the messes, girls’ mess and boys’ mess, are housed in their respective hostel blocks and have been designed to handle the complete ‘food and beverage service‘ needs of the residents.

American Style Studio Apartments:
Our state-of-the-art American style apartments house the students in a serene atmosphere. Each apartment comprises of a common room, ensuite bathrooms, and three fully appointed rooms, each room being shared by two students. Six students share an apartment and this gives them the advantage of being in a hostel as well as in the privacy of their own apartment.The apartment clusters have common rooms with TV, an in-house tuck-shop,STD-ISD facilities, and indoor sports facilities.The mess is equipped with modern appliances and serves pure vegetarian,nutritious and hygienic food.The wardens reside in the hostel campus and look after them with love and affection. We are deeply concerned about the safety and security of our children; the hostels have a round-the clock security and the students have to abide by the hostel rules. Single seater rooms are also available.The new campus houses separate residential blocks for boys and girls.
