STUDENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS:

With a vision of creating the Industry leaders of tomorrow, IMS through its regular student development programs nurtures skills in the students that are important for them to excel & effectively face the challenges of the corporate world. Personality, Leadership, Communication, Values, Attitude are the major areas of focus.

WORKSHOPS & SEMINARS:

IMS has been actively involved in promoting management excellence through organizing seminars & workshops at National Level. Workshops on Behavioral Anchoring, Effective Communication, Database & web oriented application, Managerial effectiveness have been a great success in the past.

PUBLICATIONS:

A large body of the institute's research work is published in the form of journals, magazines, popular writing, research papers, newsletters etc. for wider dissemination of knowledge among the business community and academia. The various Centers of Excellence from the Industry and the faculty at IMS have facilitated the research work, which have been very prolific in shaping up the publications of the Institute.

SPORTS:

Be a Sport is a philosophy that IMS firmly believes in. We at IMS truly believe in games and sports being not only an integral part of the physical and mental development, but also as an important part of attitude building exercises. We encourage students to study and play and teach them how to strike a balance between the two apart from other recreational activities.
The campus prides itself with a cemented basketball court, badminton courts, table tennis tables, volley ball courts and a cricket ground. Students are encouraged to play both indoor and outdoor games especially after their classes on weekends.
To instill the spirit of sportsmanship in them, intra-institute tournaments are held on a regular basis.  Students participate in Inter college sport meets and even play district, State and National Level events.
The year long activities culminate into an Annual Sports Meet.

CUTURAL ACTIVITIES:

Dr.S. Radhakrishnan said that there are two kinds of education, one that teaches you how to earn a living and the other that teaches you how to live. Where the classroom imparts knowledge and skills that put our students onto a fast track of corporate successes, our vibrant campus life instills a deep set of human values into our students.
Our cultural activities comprising of activities and professional events add to the all-important dimension of personality development that would make them responsible citizens of the country.
IMS students organize musical evenings, marshal arts workshops, theatre, painting competitions that culminate in our annual event “Lamhe” the moments that linger-on, the moments you reminisces and remember with nostalgia.
Sponsored by Hutch, “Lamhe 2005” which was a grand success will be remembered by our student and all participating colleges as 3 days of fun and frolic, dance and drama, skit quizzes, debates and capping it all, the fashion show, sponsored by SAFT, and DJ night sponsored by Nestle. Lamhe 2005 provided an excellent platform for students from across the country.

SOCIETAL INITIATIVES:

The Institute is socially responsible and keeps taking initiatives towards contributing to the society. A blood donation camp organized at the IMS campus under the able guidance of the Governor Uttaranchal Shri Sudharshanji Agarwal in the month of September 2005 was a grand success where students, faculty and other family members of the IMS family came forward in large numbers to contribute towards this noble a cause.
